Computer equipment can be expensive to fix when damaged. Always take care when packing and layer protective liners between each console. Read the following steps to help protect your computer equipment during a move.
- Create a layer of styrofoam pieces at the bottom of the moving box.
- Wrap the computer equipment in bubble wrap and place in the middle of the box. Computer screens, monitors etc. should always be protected with bubble wrap.
- Sprinkle a layer of styrofoam pieces on top of and around the computer equipment.
- Continue to layer your computer equipment until your box is nearly full.
- Put more styrofoam pieces throughout the moving box before taping it up to secure everything in place.
Pro Tip: Always look at your computer equipment to see if there are any pieces that can be removed. Extensions to equipment can easily be broken if attached while being transported. An example is the base of a computer screen.
